The Rules:

  • Nothing less than the best for these first class people!  All first class, brand new, unopened, safety-sealed goods for America's finest.

  • Please include copies of the purchase receipts for the items for safety cross-checking when possible.

  • Please include a  picture of the people sending the goods, and any notes about why you/they did this so the troops can know how much the folks here really love, respect and appreciate them. We want the troops and their families to know who, way back here at home, is thinking about them.

  • Cards, letters, and the like need to be unsealed and inspect-able.

Transportation of Goods:

Sometimes there will be a substantial amount of goods in one location, and other times there will be smaller amounts in several cities.  Efficiency allows everyone to do more, and it makes little sense to ship goods 2 - 3 times to get them to the final destination. Therefore, the method of sending the goods will vary depending on quantities and locations.

As a general rule:

  • If you have assembled several USPS flat rate boxes worth of proper goods, and are willing to be a registered shipper with SOT, SOT will provide you with APO addresses for that specific shipment (they change each time).
  • If you have assembled a pallet’s worth of the same or varied goods, please contact the USJC SOT Program Manager Candace Hollis at either This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or at 979-575-5218 and SOT will determine the most effective method to get it to the troops.
  • Use U.S. Mail only. Not UPS. Not FedEx. They do not deliver to our PO Box. (It may be a PO Box in a federal Post Office building, but we can fit a truck load of goods through it).
  • Mail them to Support Our Troops®, P. O. Box 70, Daytona Beach, FL 32115-0070. Be sure your name, address and phone is on the outside of the mailing box.

The License Plate Project:

The single most important thing the Jaycees can do is to cause the completion of these government issued license motor vehicle specialty plates. They will generate dependable recurring benefit to the troops and their families for decades to come. You are participating in the construction of a permanent national resource for the troops and their families, built by average people working together across this nation.

The Support Our Troops!® plates (a) allow people to publicly state their support for their troops, and (b) provide a means of raising patriotic private money to bolster the troops and their families who are both sacrificing to protect all of us and our families. They will put thousands of kids through school, send millions in care packages to their deployed parents, meet emergency needs, and the like. SOT® has completed about 24 states so far. Many Legislatures approved he plate unanimously, and Governors signed them into law.
